Tales from Geneva (Part 1)

Ah Geneva, Switzerland…one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and one with great international influence and culture. However, when we think of Geneva, one word dominates our minds: WATCHES!  With deep artisanal watchmaking roots dating back to the 16th Century, Geneva is unequivocally the heart of the luxury watchmaking world. So, one can only imagine our excitement to immerse ourselves in everything that Geneva had to offer.

DILUSSO has landed...

After a smooth flight from LAX, we arrived eager to begin our first meeting with a great friend and partner of DILUSSO, Carol Galiano of Roland Iten. We’ve long admired Roland Iten’s work, and Carol was kind enough to give us a behind-the-scenes review of their stunning line of products--all made with the techniques and spirit of fine mechanical watchmaking.  From their Jet Set mechanical cuff links to the R8 MK II mechanical belt buckle worn by Sylvester Stallone, we were floored by their balance of technical craftsmanship and style.  But our tour of their showroom in Lausanne and manufacture in Neuchâtel wouldn’t be complete without a hands-on try at assembling such works of art.  Finishing the evening with a delicious French dinner, as Carol's guests, at the world famous Hotel Beau-Rivage was a perfect end to a perfect first day in Geneva.
